Hello folks, just bought a new system and as soon as I get it up and running, I'll be attempting to overclock it as much as possible on air.
I bought a swiftech heatsink (the one that looks like a flower, I hate codenames, I'm horrible at it) and a 80mm Vantec Tornado fan, for my air cooling.
For my case cooling, I'm running a Xaser III 1000A with all 8 fans running at 100% via fan controller..
System bought and to be installed.
2.8ghz w/ m0 stepping.
9800 XT (ATI)
1gig of TwinX-XMSPC4000Pro Corsair.
Abit IC7-Max3.
I plan to run the ram at 1:1, of course, as I'll try to reach the ram's potiential (as in 5:4 isn't as effective in doing so, perhaps 3:2 --I'll test).
Besides piFast, Prime95, both 3dmarks (2001SE/2003), Sandra, the benchmark tool that can be used in the product*****, the 8mb one, 3rd release on the website..
I wouldn't mind some other benchmarking tools, for suggestions.
*****: Go to theproduct.de and you'll find 4 files. 3 of the 4 will b be 64kilobytes, and the 1 of the 4 will be in 8megabytes.
The 64kilobytes are basicly "demos" of amazing music and graphics compression, the first video expanding over 14 minutes of decent quality graphics and music. Usually, the demos become better along the line. Its old news, (new to most, still) but its worth to check it out.
P.S - Don't bother arguing its streamed from the internet, you can do this offline, if you wish.
Edit Note: Theres more demos to see ;)
