I am buliding an in-car PC and have two powersupply options:

Number2: (rated at 70w-100w)

I would like to use a
DFI Micro ATX (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-136-131&catalog=22&depa=1) motherboard with an xp2400 Mobile.
The system will also have a full-size dvd/cd-r, WD 80gb HDD, and a usb gps device (5volt).

Are either of these powersupplies going to have enough juice to push this system, or am I going to have to go with the much slower EPIA system?

The first choice is the only one that I would consider. The power requirements would just be too close the the max on the second option.

So, do you think the 1st one will take the load?

Yes, if it is from a quality manufacturer and the ratings are realistic, but you will not have much (if any) power for expansion.

bump, anyone else?

Is there a guide anywhere that tells the average power consumption of certain devices?

This article has some basic figures but keep in mind that the article is over a year old. http://firingsquad.gamers.com/guides/power_supply/

Thankx, It looks like I may be low on the 12v line. The other lines look to have plenty of power. I wish I could find the power usage of the mobile XP chips.
