I just set up my first homebuilt PC and I keep getting this message when I turn the power on:

"CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded"
"Please re-setting CPU or Memory Ratio/Frequency in the CMOS setup"

I tried resetting the CMOS jumpers on the Mobo as per the instructions. I just don't know where to go next. Anybody have any info?

Thanks.

How are you clearing the CMOS? I need more info on your system, please repost with all the details of your new rig, it will make it easier to spot a possible problem.

Regards, Balrog

Mine did that the first time too, i went into bios, saved the settings as is, and then it booted fine. The only other time it does that is if you have your FSB too high or other problems.
