Anyone got to share their experience in O/C a Celeron II 633Mhz to 950Mhz using the above MSI 6337EP Pro-R ?

I managed to O/C to 850Mhz with my C2 633Mhz.

The secret to overclocking all coppermine CPUs... really good cooling, then bump up the core voltage a couple notches.

I was thinking about buying the MSI 6337EP Pro-R to oc a celly 600. I am guessing from your choice of topic icon that you are less than enthused with it? I'll prolly get the CUSL2-C although I understand it has some compatibility with SB live X gamer and reboot/shutdown problems. Are you having problems with the 6337?
Good Luck!

Yes, I'm unable to O/C my 633Mhz using 100Mhz FSB to 950Mhz. It also have some issues with my SCSI card and my ZIP drive, but MSI is working on it to solve my problems.

Hi Avator, i've a MSI6337E with a C2 600 perfectly stable @746 FSB83 1.75v, but not @900.
I've tried every possible configuration of voltages (i can set only between 1.5 & 1.75, and you?), memory Cas and a lot of others but without results, the system hangs during Post or loading Win98se with strange message like "Memory Test Fail" & "ERROR [35]: GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT in DOS4GW.EXE"
I'm very interested about the solutions for Iomega Zip coz my father, with the same Mobo and a PIII 800EB, have the same probs during Win98 Boot.

This is my system configuration:

Case Tower YeongYang YY-1240 with 4 fan
(80mm & 92mm blow in and 80mm & 120 blow out)
PS Macron 300W MPT-301
Mobo MSI 6337Pro I815E
Intel C2 600Mhz cb0 @746Mhz 1.75v

Hmmm... I can get an O/C speed of 850Mhz rock stable @ default conditions but not 950Mhz @100Mhz FSB. The Voltages selections for me is from v1.70 to v1.95... strange for your case (C2 defalut Vio is v1.70) ... Did you flash to the latest Bios ??

For the IOmega ZIP drive.. it is a boot up detection problem. Initialy, it was attached as secondary slave but after I connect it to Secondary Master the detection problem does not occur anymore.

You probably want to feedback to Microstar for a Bios fix.

The Vio of my C2 cb0 is 1.5v and the Bios is updated at the last release 1.3 (29/9/2000) but have same bugs like AGP mode not settable.

How do you set the Overclocking Jumpers on the Mobo??
I've tried with AUTO & 133->66.6 without resaults :-(

About Iomega Zip (parallel port version) i've a problem when Boot Win98, sometimes at loading of Zip drivers (latest version) the system hangs, but only if the Hd is not defragmented (i do every day!) very strange, it seems like timing of loading.

For the Overclocking jumpers.... It doesn't seems to work for me either, so I use the AUTO setting.
I increase the FSB setting in the Bios settings for overclocking.

I'm using a internal ZIP drive, with the software installed is fine in windows.

Now you have FSB @95 is it right?
strange not work @100, what are yours temperatures of Cpu@ idle & @ full load and Mobo??
What kind of memory you have, Pc100 or Pc133?
and what about Cas latency 2 or 3?

My Cpu@idle 37 degree C and 57-58 @full load
(too higher i must replace my Cpu cooler with a good Hsf)
Mobo it's always around 25-28 degree C

I hope early we can reach FSB@100!!! :-))

my suggestion:

set the jumpers to default, set the cpu voltage to the maximum it can...save changes, shut down the computer.

set the jumpers to 100-132. start the computer...if my thinking is correct, the cpu will boot at 100mhz fsb with the max voltage...that's if the board doesn't reset the cpu voltage when the jumpers are changed...haven't tried it yet though...just an idea.

On Mobo there's only jumpers for setting Cpu Freq.(like just posted) and the rest it's only trought Bios.
Is it the same?

Buy a used BX6-2 if you can find one. Never was there made a better mobo for clocking. See my sig for my results.

Hi toad, first of all welcome to the forum,
I hope that you have just installed and setted properly the prg MotherBoardMonitor to check your chip & system temps, take a look to this linik http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ never the chip, at the rated speed, must go over 40 degree C @full load (100% load) coz rising the Fsb & the voltage (VCore) the temp go up!
At this point, if it's all right, well, you must only have a jumper on the up/left side of the SW1 jumpers, looking the Mobo with the socket370 on your up/left, probably you must also rise the voltage around 1.8-1.85v to got a rock stable OverClock, remember that the heat is the enemy!
I hope it helps you, but if you need of more support don't esitate to contact me on the Forum, or by E-Mail if you prefer :D

P.S. what kind of C2 600 are you using? a cB0 or a cC0?
