Where can I get a cC0 celeron in the 600 - 700 range?
Thanks
I got both of mine thru e-BAY. Both are cC0 600's.
The one that hits 945 @ 1.9v I got "pre-tested" to run at that speed. It does. Paid $89 for it.
The other one I got lucky on. It was a plain listing, with little info. I e-mailed the guy and asked if he could send me the numbers on the chip. As soon as I saw 1.7v, I knew it was a cC0, and watched the auction closely. The auction ended during the Super Bowl last month, and I skated away with an untested, virgin 600 for $56. A little trial and error got me to 1009 MHz at 2.0v. Both of these run Gorbs, but I've got an Alpha PEP66T coming, so these speeds might go up slightly, or the voltage down a notch, with the better hsf.
Lots of the cC0 600 chips on e-BAY, sometimes they get a bit pricey though. Patience will turn up the good chip at the right price.
For the truly sick, there is a guy who had two chips listed separately recently, cC0 600 C II's, that alledgedly would run at 119 FSB at 1.95v. That translates to 1071MHz (119x9). With a Gorb cooling it!!!..........YIKES !!!!
I recall the asking price was $129 or 139.

BTW..... go for a 600. The higher multiplier of the 700 makes them harder to overclock well.

I think upgradeplanet.com has about the cheapest price for OEM C-600s. Never bought anything from them, but have heard good things about them.

thanks for the info guy's...
I'll start looking on ebay for a 600 cII.
BTW: I just traded an VA6 that I got for $60 for a pIII 550(katmai) that is running at 660 right now woth no prob. Will probably go a little further but not much. At least I do not have that VA6 anymore, and it is better than the 450@568 that I had. When I get the cII 600 the pIII will go into the server.
