I have a celeron 633 and i know the #sl4ny is a step C i think..but i havent a clue as to what stepping is or how its a factor in overclocking..?

The stepping tells you which version of the CPU you have. A newer revision normally overclocks better than older ones, but not every time. My P3 700 is a cB0 stepping, and the newer cC0 overclocks a bit better.
