I bought some nice rear speaker stands but it seems that the only way to mount them would end up having the speakers angled downward as the mounting hole on the 560's isn't perpendicular to the ground.. Am I making any sense? What I was wondering is whether the Walmart stands mentioned in another thread would alleviate this issue and whether I should return these other stands..
Btw, they've got a whole whack of mounting options I don't seem to understand. Keyhole, single point, dual fixing, etc.. >.<
The z560's have thier own wallmounts, just unscrew the hex bolt and flip them around and add a screw and washer and screw them into the studs in your walls, that's what I did and it works fantastic.

Unfortunately the wall facing my computer is much too far to mount my rear speakers, which is why I'm trying to use stands... But it doesn't seem like most stands are properly angled for the 560's..
since the z560's use bare wire terminals on both the speakers and the back of the sub you can go out and buy the appropriate length of wire you need to reach that back wall. I wouldn't use anything higher than 14 gauge seeing as the terminals are kinda small.

Perhaps I was not entirely clear... I *don't want to* wall mount my speakers... ^^ The wall behind me is some 25-30 feet away. Distance aside, there are several other reasons why I would not wish to do this. Really, the only option I've got is to use stands, but so far I've only ever seen stands that would point the speakers at a downwards angle - about 45 degrees from horizontal.
The type of stands you're looking for will add quite a bit to the cost (you will need a rotating head/adapter on the stand in order to angle the speakers up that 45 degrees).
I didn't find any on Best Buy's site, but there are a few you might be able to use by bending the top part back the 45 degrees...
why not try to build your own out of wood? it probably wouldn't be the prettiest but you could design it to fit your needs and it would be cheaper than store bought stands.

Yikes.. Well, the reason I was asking is because the stands at Walmart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2045620&cat=78837&type=19&dept=3944&path=0%3A3944%3A3987%3A96890%3A78837 ) were said to be perfect for mounting Logitech speakers in another thread on this forum. If they're anything like the ones I've got right now, I guess not... That's kind of disappointing..
Btw, my woodworking skills are pretty much non-existant, so there goes that idea... Thanks for the suggestion, tho.. :p

Yeah, I remember that thread and in hind site I can't see how ANY stands without an adjustable mount would work...

My suggestion would be to use those stands you bought, since you can't, and don't want to wall mount the speakers. If the Speakers aren't angling right, how about you try and use a little Muscle and bend the shiny metal stand part attached to the speaker. They aren't that sturdy that you couldn't bend them how you needed them.
