OMFG, DOOM & Geforce 3 & My Celeron 600 @ 900?!

Have you seen the screenshots and the movie of the New DOOM game from Id software?!

Wonderign what you guys think, that DOOM demo was shown on a Geforce 3 card.

Im thinking of buying a Geforce 3 with my tax return instead of teh 9mm Glock I had my heart set on. Do you think I would get that level of performance with my system if I buy a Geforce 3 for $6??

My specs:

Celeron cC0 600 @ 900
Abit BH6 mobo v1.01
Abit Slocket !!!
256 mb of PC-100 RAM
IBM ATA 66 (i think) HD

Im thinking that even if I got a geforce 3 that I would not be able ot get that performance because of the rest of my system, what do you think?

From what I've read the Geforce 3 isn't going to be much better than the Geforce 2 ultra,It just looks like it might all be hype!There's some interesting reading on the front\home page of this site about the whole thing!

What do you have for a vid card now?
Unfortunately a celeron just doesn't seem to push video cards to their full potential,So,a processor upgrade would probably be in need if you went with a Geforce 3 I would imagine.

Fellaz the Geforce 3 is going to revolutionize 3D gaming. It is going to blow any video card on the market out of the water.

Whats the point of pushing your processors if not to play games (entertainment, not all games are "just" games, they are experiances), to run Photoshop, gimmie a break. Imagine playing toy story or a bugs life not just watching it, its real its gonna happen, soon, watch the video if you can find it, and here are some pics:

ok first of: elfead...why would u suggest anyone to buy an alienware system? sure they have quality parts. But its more fun to go but the parts you want and make your own custom system. That way you know its gonna be really sweet...and you feel like its worth alot more in the long run.

Second: screw geforce3 and Nvidia. Sure I have a geforce2 card in my machine right now, but that was before those ass holes where charging 600+ for a video card. AND releaseing them to MAC's B4 PC's. How Gay is that?

Now, here is what i think. I think there will be a new video card company better then nvidia that will produce the most amazing cards that will be better then anything Nvidia can even dream about. And they will cost a fraction of what Nvidia is chaging for their shoe polished mac pansy flower power cards.

If a company that released to PC all of a sudden starts releasing to mac systems first, thats enough reason not to buy from them. Let alone how much they want for them.

And now to sum it all up for ya folks:

I hate Nvidia now. Their prices suck, and they are releasing to mac systems first. Talk about traitors! Stick with your Geforce2's until Nvidia is begging forgiveness, or until someone else rocks their sorry ass.
