Anyone know how to auto logoff Windows XP after a period of inactivity? I don't want to use the standby method as the machine will never be in standby. Any help appreciated!

The only way I know of doing this is by configuring the Winexit.scr Screen Saver, as explained in the following MSKB article...
HOW TO: Force Users to Quit Programs and Log Off After a Period of Inactivity in Windows XP

Afaik, the Winexit.scr Screen Saver program ships in the WinNT Server 4.0 Resource Kit. WinExit consists of one file, Winexit.scr, which you can find in the Resource Kit directory. :)

there is a way, but it isnt auto-log-off, it just goes back to the user log-in screen, all u do is turn on screen saver, then check the box that sez on resume, display welcoem screen, hope that helps!

Yeah I know about that way, but then even a limited user can turn that off... I need something that a non-admin user can not mess with. And redduc900, I have read up on the method you described, seems like that will have to be the way.
