Look at the motherboard manual to see if you can raise the chip voltage about 0.1 to 0.2 volts from the default. You need good cooling (heatsink and fan) to do this so if you have a weak cooling system you might have temps go too high with higher voltage.

A program called CPU Cool can monitor your temps, give you some software cooling and also allow you to change the FSB from Windows instead of from the BIOS.

Check it out as it is the EASIEST way to do some overclocking experimentation.

I use CPUCOOL! I have a pcchips motherboard that has no opinions for overclocking. Before you go hacking you might want to try this program first. There is only one thing. You need to know what PLL your motherboard has. Check your motherboard for a chip that says something like ics, winbond, or better yet just go here: http://www.podien.onlinehome.de/CPUCOOL.HTM

you dont have to buy it to use it! and you can set it to start everytime you start windows. Goodluck!
