The CPU itself is very limited. The first Ppro's came in 150 and 166Mhz flavors, that's why you get yours upto 166Mhz and later on the 200 and 233 models appeared. Never get rid of that GEM though! They were the first commercial on-die cache CPU, cost a freaking fortune at the time and will be collector's items of the future I'm sure. I still have working i486SX25, i486DX2-66 and P-233MMX mainboard and memory combo's around that I'm hanging onto as well..

It seems as you reached your limit, the Ppro only went to 200MHz. I had a Dual 200 and it only went up to 233MHz which I was happy with seeing that It was only a file server. Maybe you can try for better cooling or if your motherboard supports is a higher voltage.

Hehehehe My mom is hopefully going for a quad p-pro server that eobard has. It supports all the way up to 366mhz. :)
