I finally got my 850 to 1003 but i tried the next step 1020 and i get a protection error. I was wondering if anyone knew the names of those programs that stress your cpu, and where to d/l them. I want to burn it in again now at 1003 for about a week and see if i can get any more outta this chip, since i already have the voltage at 1.9v.
Thanks
The Don

SETI is good for this. A few others are CPUBurn and Burn In Test. There are some links for sites that carry these things on the homepage here.

Well, you could run a proggie called "prime95" which looks for prime numbers...I haven't investigated what it does except I know that it stresses the cpu, as it is very math intensive....there might be a link to it on overclockers mainpage...if not, you can do an internet search for "prime95" and I'm sure you will find it.
others are "seti@home", "3dmark2000" (although I think it stresses nvidia cards more than cpu), Sisoft Sandra is a full benchmarking suite and has a "burnin wizard" built into their program.
Me personaly I just play a lot of quake3, or UT, or need for speed..something like that for hours on end, also I rarely turn off my comp.
I wonce heard a quote from the president of Micron PC, and was asked if you could say anything to consumers what would it be..."never turn your computer off...they'll last much longer"
Sandra is a good all around suite, but has it's flaws like most others.
I hope this helps

Thanks to both of you, and Doc me to i play alot of quake but my other problem is that when i play after about 15 min i get something like "quake2 has caused an error in quake3.exe and must close" so i don't gte to play to much, and as for that quote i never heard it but i did hear from someone that samething, so since then i rarely shut it down other than to restart it or over clock it
