When i boot up an abit bh6 v1 ssb ios, i get a cmos check sum error.

Then it asks me to press f1 or del but the keyboard doesn't work at all.

Have now reset the cmos, lowered the speed back down to 633, tried the keyboard in a serial port etc. tried the keyboard on another computer (worked ok).

I have now tried another keyboard that i know works but that appears dead.

have i done some damage to the motherboard?

is there anything i can do?

It's possible you blew out your serial port.

Even if i connect to a ps/2 port?

I have tried both serial ports and both ps/2 ports.

It's possible that the keyboard driver was messed up from overclocking. If you can't get in to look at the control panel/system/device manage and see if there is a problem (yellow triangle with a ! or ?), you might try reinstalling Windows as a last ditch effort.

It could be f*cked up BIOS cmos data, try resetting the BIOS by taking off the jumper for a minute. You'll have to reset everything in the BIOS after this...

I cannot get into anything, the keyboard works on my other comp., but not on this BH6, i have reset the cmos, i cannot get into windows, all i get is the message ' type f1 to ignore or del to enter into the bios' but the keyboard is dead, i cannot do anything except reboot and go through the whole lot again.
