Windows 98 > 2nd edition

Can you upgrade from windows 98 to the second edition? Without formatting or anything?

Yep, I had a disc that came with my old Compaq that upgraded from 1st edition to 2nd edition. I'm not sure where you can get the discs though in retail.

You could just buy an upgrade to 98 SE and just upgrade 98.

It's getting pretty cheap at ebay. I see full versions going for ~$70 shipped. Shop hard and maybe you can get it lots cheaper.

Oh I was just making sure actually. I have Second edition and I never use it anymore. My cousin has normal 98 and he wants to upgrade to second edition because it supports more things. He dosn't want to format or anything and I was making sure that it'd work for him so I just gave him my second edition. I have no real use for 98 anymore so it's cool. It's either nt, linux, or mabye dos for me :D (still learning linux, and I'm in this dos for technitions class)
