View Full Version : Gotta be B&*LLSH*!
Hmmmm. Just looked at the team stats and seeing a couple new entries, for "#1" and "#2", which are showing 20-30 WU's a day except for today, when they show, respectively: 123604 WU's and 16695 WU's... kinda strange, don't you think?
Methinks something stinks in this apparent miracle of WU production... expecially since it's obvious the owner of these two farms has been at it for about a week.
To get 123604 WU's in a single day would take THOUSANDS of client machines. I just don't believe it for a second.
What are your thoughts???

I noticed that too. I have no idea what that is all about.
Yes it's a little odd indeed, but people can crunch and not return work units until they desire. Other people on the team have saved up completed units and dumped hundreds and in some cases thousands at once. It appears you missed the other thread about this just below yours...

it would be nice if this ghost cruncher would at least drop in and say hi or something.

Yeah I really hate competing against ghosts. Who Are you?????Ghost(s)?????
Return of Benz? I hope not...
The thing that i kind of get a kick out of is before the big dump they only had like 1000 or so WUs completed and then bam big dump.
Yeah, indeed...I was wondering why I was bumped back a spot..I can ignore that.

This does seem rather odd to me as well as now my client says the team has dumped 169,357 WU's today!! Wow is all I can say (if it's "real"). I've got 3 above average computers (Barton@2.22, Athlon MP@1.62, Athlon@1.35GHz) crunching and I have almost 300 WU's done in a couple weeks. So if "he/she" were running equivalent to me (a little over 3 hours/WU on avg.), then "he/she" did say 120000 WU's in a couple weeks, that's approximately 1400 CPU's @ 1.5GHz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a rough guess with lots of rounding, but still, it's out to lunch.

I dunno, perhaps if their name hadn't disappeared at the same time, this wouldn't seem so..unlikely.
