View Full Version : 3dmark goes down as Mhz goes up?
Any I deas as to why my 3dmarks and fps go down when I go from celeron 700@874 to 700@892??
Everything else seems to be normal, and the system is stable at that speed.........I have tried different voltage, and the heat is 20 normally and around 40 under load.

when you uped the bus, did you also change the ram timings? did your vid card default to 1x? I have heard that some cellies have diminishing returns at higher speeds, although I can't see how it's possible.
Do you by chance have an asus board?Sometimes they default to 1x agp when o'c'ed

It looks like to me like your have reached the maximum capabilities of your video card/driver combination. When u get no reaction by adding fsb your card/driver combination is topped out.
All ya can do is try other divers. It is not likely that your going to find much improvement.
Vid card makers are not interested in providing fully functional an improved drivers for anything but their latest an greatest.
Your probably at the end of the road with your vid chipset because it is no longer fully supported. This is the typical problem with vid cards.
Even if ya bought the bran new latest an greatest. Its fair to say that , that card would not be fully supported in 4 months. The maker will no longer be interested in your card, they have moved on. An they already have your money an want u to buy another.
So be happy with what u have.
