Almost any chip can be overclocked some. All you can do is give it a try. The Celeron 700's aren't the best choice by general consesus when trying to reach 100MHz because of the high multiplier. The best ones for this seem to be the 566 and 600.

You should be able to hit 75 to 83MHz with it, however, considering the rest of your devices don't mind the big change in PCI bus speed.

Check out the database and see what others have done with the 700.

If you have really good cooling, Say Artic Silver, An alpha heatsink with a delta fan and a few case fans then there is a chance you could run on a 100mhz fsb but you would need about 1.9-2v, but you would be better buying a new chip and selling that one, go to www.ebay.com and look for a 600 or 566 cCO celeron and sell you old one

I have a Celeron II 700 @ 877 1.65v (1.7v default cC0) and it did 877 right out of the box with the standard hs/f. The only thing i had to do was turn off dma on my 1st hard drive becasue of corruption because of the high bus speeds. Wierd i thought, i never thought in my whole life that the hard drvie would be a problem. Anyway if you have a cC0 you should be okay for 877, if you have a cB0 then you should hitt 840. Waiting for new mobo and getting this baby up to 950+.

Good Luck
