I *&#@ed up again, bought another mbo without checking it out (gigabyte GA-6VXE7+) after receiving it, I found out there is no cpu voltage adjustments. My question is, Do they make an adapter i.e. socket 370 to socket 370 with a voltage adjustment, like the 370 to slot 1? If so where can I get one?
Yes, Iwill makes a great adapter. I think the Slotket II is the one I used, but it's been a while. Abit also makes one but I would recommend the Iwill. http://www.kdcomputers.com/ was the cheapest on pricewatch for the Iwill...$16.00 plus at least 5 for shipping. They're really easy to set up, and work great.
Good luck

Isn't the Slotket 11 made to put a FC-PGA cpu on a slot 1 mbo? My new mbo is made to accept a FC-PGA cpu(not a slot 1) and the cpu (celeron 600mhz, w/cco stepping) is a FC-PGA also?

## Unfortunately I think you are out of luck, perhaps sell the motherboard to a friend or a coworker ? And then pick up a board that has the capabilities to do what you want it to do. That is about the only solution I can offer to you, that is assuming you have gone into the BIOS and verified that the BIOS does not have any V Core adjustments ? That's all I can say. ##

## You are correct about the IWILL it is meant to convert a socket processor to a slot based processor... I seriously think you are out of luck for a socket based adapter that plays with voltages, I was checking out the power leap adapter and that doesn't look at all like that would do it either... ##
Hope that helps a little bit...

I think theres a trick where you can wire a couple of pins together to increase the voltage?Don't know where to find it,but maybe someone here does!

There is a trick to wiring the pins for voltage increases. There is an approx 52 post thread on just such a topic on this board. Look under "Celeron600 o'clocking failure". There's some pretty extensive help there, and I can help you if that fails. You should download the Intel datasheet for P3's and Celerons Here: http://developer.intel.com/design/celeron/datashts/ and here: http://developer.intel.com/design/PentiumIII/datashts/ .
Pay particular attention to the pinout diagram and the VID pin locations, as well as the supported voltages table for the pin combinations.
Hope this helps.

go buy a asus cusl2-c, i815ep chipset, they are sweet boards, i have worked a few of them, they overclock great.
Before you give up on your Gigabyte, check their web site. They have a new program that helps people who buy their boards to overclock. I am not sure if it will help you but you could try it before ditching the motherboard.
