I've been reading that the version 10 bios for the NF7 is the best for overclocking, so I've decided to flash from 19. I've been having problems with FSBs over 210 even with max voltages, so I'm thinking it's the bios. I have the regular NF7 version 2.0 so I don't need the one with the SATA stuff. I can't find it on the Abit site so I have come to you guys for help. I'm planning to use Flash Menu to flash so any tips you guys have would be appreciated. I have heard to flash twice before rebooting to make sure it works, should I?

Thanks.

I found the bios. I was cruising around Abit's site, and it was in a weird place. There were 2 links for NF7 bios's. I clicked the wrong link before. I'll report my results back here.

Not sure what abit site you looked at but I found it right away.

Here it is.

I only flash once, never had a problem (knock on wood)

Well, I think I clicked on the NF7 non-2.0 area. They only had down to version 13 and they weren't the D. So I looked a little farther down the menu and found the second NF7 bios update link. It had the 10D. DOH! Did the flash and it's not FUBAR, so now for some OC.

Please let me know how it works for you. I had trouble with my BH-5 memory...not sure what the deal was. I've heard 10 can have problems, so your results/settings would be appreciated.

Ok, I'm booting at high FSBs (unlike before), but not stable. I think it is my hardware not the bios anymore though. I'll do some more tweaking, and see how it goes.

I had bios 19 installed but decided to try this 10 version just because I had nothing better to do. :) The results were quite bad.. with bios 19 I booted up to Windows with 215-220FSB, but everything over 210 gave me a BSOD with bios 10. I quickly flashed back to bios 19 and everything is now running flawlessly at FSB215. :)

There is some nf7-s that just dont like the bios 10 I know mine like them very much.

Running BIOS d10 here too... just Priming as I type this.
I can boot at 230 no probs but I can't get stable at anything past 215FSB.
I'm priming 10.5x215 right now, but I couldn't get even 7x220 prime stable.

My settings are:

VCore : 1.85v in BIOS (~1.81 in EQ)
VDimm : 2.9v in BIOS (~2.94 in EQ)
Timings : 2-2-2-11 (tried 2-3-3-11 @ 220FSB but didnt help)
Vdd : 1.6v stable @ 10x215 but not @ 10.5x215. Trying 1.7v now...
Load Temps : CPU=49c System=27c
Idle Temps : CPU=~38c System=~23c
Ambient : ~24c
APIC Enabled
FSB & AGP Spectrum Disabled
CPU Interface Enabled

My RAM is BH-5 so it should be fine @ 220 2-2-2-11 w/2.94v shouldn't it?

Is there something I'm missing, I see so many users getting to 245+ FSB?

emm is dat tictac hack bios or equito hack d10?

emmm... put more vdimm on ur BH5 this ram realy loves high voltage 3.3V on intel board can bring it up to 250MHz 2-2-2-11

make sure ur I/O voltage about 0.1-0.2v higher than ur vdimm to make sure u get stable voltage...

lemak,
thanks for the feedback :D

I've since found my Mushkin was damaged in the post, neither stick can pass memtest @ 11x200 2-2-2-11 with 2.9VDimm :(

RMA in progess now
