I am kind of bored today so Im running out to Walmart to pick up a mini fridge to chill my water. Has anyone used a watercooler and minifridge setup to chill the water and how bad was condensation. I dont use a peltier I would just like to keep my cpu at under30c at full load so hopefully it wont require much cooling from the fridge to help with condensation problems it runs at 34c max now.

I got the fridge and bought all the fittings. Drilled right through it easily and the silicone is setting now in my water container and frig. I am going to start of slow and hopefully get some cooling benefit without condensation my cpu has no insulation on it now. Anyoner have any advice. I am thinking I will have it up and running around 2am as soon as this damn silicone sets just have to rerought from my radiator to my fridge and test for leaks.

Insulate the water block at least, and the hoses going to and from the block, condensation will form on the hoses and the water block as soon as the case warms up, I run a similar setup, however I have the freezer section dropped down into the rez in my setup, and I also run a pelt, but either way, you NEEED to insulate what I said, or all of a sudden you will smell something odd, and your video will go crazy, and then poof.... nothing on the screen.

When I realize that I stuck my computer out the window two nights ago to reach 9 deg C temps I think we can safely say that a lot of us need help!!

Hehe Yeah I need help big time but I get bored and like to mess around with computers so it is a natural progression. I don't use clear tubing I use the heavy duty black tubing 3/8" the clear would collapse and kink on me so I should have good insulation in the hoses. I did insulate the whole cpu and back of the cpu after thinking about it for a while. I couldnt get her up and running last night the silicon didnt dry in time but I am using it now. I have to run the the gf house for a while unfortunatley but I will be back later tonight to do more testing. I just fired up the fridge and my cpu reads 27c so I will turn of the computer let it chill while Im gone and see what it will do when I return. Thanks for the tips. GOt my 700 running at 159fsb before the fridge going for 1150 to 1200 tonight when I get home . WooHoo
