hello guys..
as you know
i have a bh6 and 300a cele

i want to upgrade the proccessor..
whats the best one to get?

im thinking of the
700 mhz PIII ...
should i get coppermine and/or the 133mhz bus
or neither?

(700 mhz pIII was the max specs at abits site)
unless i can go higher....

so what should i do?
get the 700mhz PIII , E / B / EB
or something else

i leave this to you experts

thank you

Can't go wrong with a slot 1 P-III 700e (100 MHz fsb), or if you're on a tight budget, a Celeron 600 with a slotket adapter. Both of these chips will "usually" give you maximum bang for your buck. Generally, the P-III will score higher in benchmarks than the Celly, mainly because of it's cache is twice as big.

700E. Do NOT get the EB...for the money the 700 is a better overclock, and should be much easier to get to 933+

700 is the max "supported" speed because 440bx only suports 66 and 100. since the max is 700 that means the max supported mutiplier is 7x (although you might be able to raise this with a bios update) since the max bus speed is 133 the actuall maximum speed is 933. this also means that you will want to get get the 100 mhz bus chip if you choose to go pIII (which is what i recomend) other wise you will not be able to overclock it with the multipliar lock. btw i would also recomend the flip chip and slotket not only for better cooling but when/if you decide to upgrade mobos using this chip, you will have more options.

most bx chips support a 133mhz fsb it's just that this runs the agp bus at 89mhz which most cards will handle fine, as for the multiplyer it doesn't matter what the board supports as intel chips are locked and will run at their multiplyer regardless of the board
