Hi guys
I recently purchased a ready built combo of a QDI Advance 5/133E, P3 750 @ 1ghz , IWILL Slocket 2, and Golden orb. It had already been burned in by the person i got it off, but ive been having some problems lately, and want to check the configuration. First of all, on the motherboard, should the FSB be set at AUTO, 100 mhz or 133mhz ? Bearing in mind i am using a slocket ? Cuz i thought it should be set as AUTO on the board, and on the slocket at 133 FSB, with voltage of 1.85-1.9 ??? Is this correct ? Cuz at the moment i am trying to drop the FSB down to 100 to check it operates ok at 750 cuz had a few regirsty problems but can't seem to make it drop down. The system wasn't setup using softfsb or nething, jsut with slocket etc.. Also, when a motherboard manual normally says, for example, if there is a 2 pin jumper, OPEN means no pins connected, and CLOSED means the 2 pins connected using the jumper yea ? Anyone with experience with this board, overclocking the p3 750 or nething pleez help me. I am bit confused how the Slocket should be used and configured.

Thanks

I would say yes and yes...if I understand how slokets work, then you'd set the mobo to auto, and the slotket for 133, or 100, or whatever.
And yes..closed means a jumper is installed, and open is without a jumper.
(a little hint, if you have to remove a jumper, instead of removing it completely, just put it on 1 pin only, that way it's not making a connection, and you still have the jumper handy if you need it in the future)
P.S. I have never used a slotket...so take what I posted with a grain of salt
