Got a free 512mb stick.. anyone know anything about these? good/bad?

Since it's free, maybe you won't mind checking beneath the heatspreader to see what chips are on it. If you figure this out, then we can guesstimate on performance :)

Be careful while your trying to remove the heatspreader. I don't know how PNY puts their's on, so you'll have to figure it out :) There should maybe be some sort of clip keeping it on, then some thermal tape attaching it to the memory. Be careful wedgeing any thermal tape off - you wouldn't want to pull out a resistor.
