twinmos released some pc3200 with winbond chips, that's some good stuff :-D
twinmos' own chips are nothing spectacular, but do rated and overclock.

their newer "twister" stuff looks pretty crappy though, as well as the non-twinmos or winbond chips

I concur

twinmos pc3200 has used winbond bh-5 and ch-5 chips, as well as twinmos's own chips and (apparently the worst) M-Tec chips.

my sticks have m-tec chips, and they are just as good as any others ive seen.

I'd seriously just spend the extra dough and guarantee yourself bh-5

Some TwinMOS DDR400 uses the Hynix BT-D43 chips that everyone is raving about.
The store I buy from garantees all their 256MB sticks are BT-D43, their 512MB sticks are either BT-D43 or AT-D43... mostly AT-D43 :(

I live in New Zealand

Just tried friend's TwinMOS PC3200 with BT-D43 chips... 2×512Mb.

At 255/255 it was prime stable 3-4-8-8 and 2.8V, however I couldn't make it stable above 255, tried everything.

In 5:4 even 275/220 didn't work (the CPU can do it).

The issue was always that the AI7 posted but froze with POST code 52 (mem test).

Now I don't know what memory to get :(

Csybe,
is 2.8v your VDimm limit?
Those chips are supposed to respond well to voltage...

That is the exact chip I got. I got 2 512MB version. Apparently it's a value RAM. Not that good..

DDR476 2-3-2-5 with only 2.9v isn't shabby for "value" ram

I know one thing for sure : the ones with the m-tec chips on them arent nothing spectacular. Ive got the ones with the m-tec chips on them and they do 210 mhz at 2.5-4-4-8  .
Had them on 230 mhz (at 2.8v)with the same timings. (But not stable offcourse -- all flickering textures and stuff in games at anything above 210 mhz.)

Curse these high prices on pc4000 modules

I NEED THEM !! :p

If I tried to run mine on CAS2, my machine crashes so fast it aint funny. I got tons of errors when doing more tight timings. I think I got some bad RAM

my pc3200 w/m-tec does 235mhz at 11/3/3/2.5 @ 2.8v. I'm pretty sure it does this at cas 2.0 aswell but i can't quite remember lol
