Ok, the flash drive that I have is in the title of the thread, and when I plug it into the computer, I am having some trouble. Usually the back side of it glows green when in the USB port, but when plugging it in it breifly flashes but then goes out. I can't read the drive either. It dosen't show up. I have tried re-inserting it sevral times and wiggling it around and still no luck. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? It is a new drive too.
Thanks

What OS are you using. I know that pre windows 2000, you need a driver to allow it to be found.

Well, I am on a workstation running XP pro. I was on a very similar system yesterday and it worked. Maybe the USB ports on this one are messed up or something.

If it worked on another computer, then I woould say that there must be something wrong with the USB port on the first computer.

Ok, I moved to a different workstation and plugged it in. After fiddling with it I got it to light up and the compter to recognize it. (strangely this one is a win98 comp :-/) Anyways, then the light turned off and I haven't been able to access it since. I think there is something wrong with the USB connector on the drive becuase when I am plugging it in the light goes on for a fraction of a second and the little icon "found new hardware" in the task bar apears for a split second but both go away once it is all the way in. hmmm may have to return this one :-/
Thanks for the help. Got any other idea's on what it could be?
EDIT: ok got it working again. hmmmm this is really odd.

Ok it has been working, it seems as though it likes a really tight slot and does not like the loose ones :-/ So it seems as though the external hub's are kinda loose and do not work, but also some older heavily USB port used PC's dont work to well either.
