Hey!

To whoever can help me out, I would APPRECIATE it. I am trying to overclock my 800MHZ PIII processor. I am runnning an Asus p3v4x motherboard, and have 256 pc-133 RAM installed. I set the BUS speed at 100Hz and it works fine, loads up Windows 2000 and everything. But when I set it to 128 or 133, it goes through Boot sequence fine (even says 1018 MHz or something), but then hangs when it says that it is loading windows (the second step in the process of Win2k loading). I am wondering why it is hanging when I set it up near 128 or 133. Do I need to install Windows 98 and try it with that. Or maybe I need to set something else? If anyone could give me guidance as to how I can get my system running at 133 or around there, I would love you forever. hehe

Thanks alot guys! Peace

Sounds like you need more juice so try upping the voltage a bit. My Celly 533a does the same thing now since I moved it to a Tyan board that has no voltage adjustment. Ran fine at 800+ on my Soyo board with a little extra voltage so try jumping it up to about 1.80 or so.

Yah, The most that my BIOS allows is like VCore to be 1.95. Is there a way that I can up that even more if I want. I have seen posts with guys that are upping theirs to 2.2 and ****. I have a peltier on my processor, so I am not worried too much about it overheating.

Would it be safe to up it to 1.95. I don't understand the concept behind voltage. Maybe you could explain it to me a bit????

1.95 should be perfectly safe. If you have a peltier you should be fine. i dont fully understand the concept of voltage either. I just konw its like the electricity going through the processor, and that more voltage = more heat, and the possibility of frying your chip. It also can help in overclocking, by raising it, or as i have come to understand, in some instances, lowering it.

Could some1 help us out?

Unfortunately, the 800 is not the greatest clocker..especialy the cBO.. a freind of mine has a cBO 800E, and the best he can do is about 124fsb, and that's with a peltier...the highest post on wintune he has done is about 1039mhz.
