Direct X 8 and 9

Yes you can but to do so you will need to reformat your drive directx 9 changes so much of the graphics code in the the O/S that they made the upgrade so that you couldn't go back as it was causing to many problems.

You wouldnt want to do that anyways if you plan on running any driver version 3.0 or newer for your 9500 Pro though ;)

I was just looking for better 3D Marks scores,I had heard 8 was better than 9:)

In terms of performance there wont be any difference. DX 8 is used anyways when running 3DMark 2k1

Amen. If you arent going to run your card at that 24/7 you might as well not benchmark it. Many people look at synthetic benchamrks, but that doesnt show AA and AF performance. I only bench with the eye candy I like in my games on.
