I dont see how,Heat being the number 1 issue and I dont see too many laptop mobo's letting you play with multiplyers, and front side bus,or even voltage for that matter.
Laptop boards are alot different from teh desktop's we all know and love

i have to agree with him. you can't get into the laptop bios like you can an aftermarket mobo. there just like pre builts like hp and compaq. they take the defult for the chip. unless its in some way special i would give it up. then theres heat. they get hot enough already. they are already built to run cooler before hsf if theres a hsf. you could fry eggs on the bottom of my toshiba celery 400. and even if you wanted to you couldn't get enough cooling in there without sacrificing everything that makes it a laptop.

on a side note I always wondered what kind of overclocking results you could get from an adequetly cooled embeded processor in a desktop. but thats the problem its "embeded" and probably runs on a different chipset and pin configuration if you were able to get it out. oh well

I did...CTX EZBOOK 700E with a Amd K6 233, and it is proc upgradeable, and I just set it for 300...couple of switches, and put it back together, boot, and presto 300mhz...(298 according to the benchmark), but hey, I can live with it...until it smokes, then I will put in a K6-2 @300.. I smoked one already...I fliped the wrong sw, and it win't boot any more, so I put the 233 back in, and clocked it up...so I am basicly waiting to justify buying another to myself.
I think I will make a keyring out of the smoked one

I know SoftFSB works on dell laptops, I can get my pentium 233 mmx up to 280 no problem and I can't say it is noticably hotter or that the battery lasts much less, but at the end of the day there isn't much point with a lap top other than for the hell of it
