Ok, here we go again...
Thats the system: PII400(SL2u6malay), Soyo 6be+, generic ram 100mhz, voodoo bashee(argh!).
Sometime in the last winter, i went to 496mhz (124mhz bus)...i it worked fine for all around the season. But now in summer time, the OC takes 1 min to crash windows.
Problems:
-I've placed a huge house fan besides it, but it didnt change nothing, temp stable: 32 system, 24-26 cpu...so, that tells me that my prob is not temp.
-My mobo doesnt allow me to change voltage settings (really), so i cant get off of 1.95v (i think its low).
-Ah, by the way...you can say something like that:" go buy some good 133mhz memory, or some decent video." That OC in the last winter was using a 66mhz ram, with bus at 124mhz (im not kidding). Now with my "new" 100mhz ram it doesnt work. I have already tested a Voodoo3 3k, and same thing..
Well, the last thing i can say before i leave everything on your hands (or not), is that i OCed it to 496 2 days ago, and it worked for about 15 min (i dont know how to explain), ran sisoft sandra and half-life, and the temp was still stable...then windows freezed. There is some way/program i can change my voltage settings, since my mobo/bios dont have it? I have heard something about slocket something, is that the right thing for me?
