I'm wondering this 'cause my compy's fairly stable, but it crashes when really loaded down. Prime doesn't run for more than about a half hour at 2.5ghz and I'm pretty sre it's my PSU causing the problems. However, it plays games fine. Here's the lines:
vCore: 2.11(set at 2.3)
vcc:2.96v
vio:3.25v
+5v:5.06v
+12v:11.56v (lower sometimes)
-12v:-12.35v
-5v:-5.34v
vsb:4.8v
3.3v dual:3.6v
This all on a no-name 550w PSU that I know is a piece of junk. My question is, do you think a better PSU would make my system stable? Also, is there anychance of this PSU catching fire or anything? Thanx.
BTW, if I do buy a new PSU, I'm getting the Antec TruePower 550 or 480
