Celeron 566 coppermine
128mb PC100
Seagate 20gig 7200rpm
ATI rage 128 (32mb)
SB Live Platinum
----------------------------------------------------------------
I also tried the mirror sites and got the same result!
I was hoping to do this so that I can have the option of using 1.8 to 1.9 volt. when overclocking my 566 celeron to 850mhz!
Does anyone have this bios update?
Uncle Leo will always help you when it comes to Abit.
Which motherboard do you have? The SE6?? If so the new LK may give you another 0.05 volts.

Sorry..., I have BE6ii version 2
btw, i got the bios update on the taiwanese site.
They're so slow! ;-(
thanks anyway.
what's your pc spec?
I am happy that the Taiwan site finally worked for you. I have a PIII700 that I use on the SE6. Normally I can only get to 960 in Windows at 1.90 volts. Today I am experimenting above 1.9 volts thanks to the help of people on this board such as WildAndy, Batboy and many others.

Looks like an unauthorized site that is trying to fill the void that abit has left with their "slowest servers in the east" service.

I flashed my BE6ii version 2 mobo and it still will not allow me to set the voltages higher than 1.75?!
Any thoughts anyone?

I just received an e-mail from Abit stating that the voltage for this mobo is lowered to protect customer's cpu!!!!
Can i still tweak the voltage thru the slot one adapter card?

I have a Super Slocket-III (generic) PGA370 slot one adapter card and there does not seem to have settings to tweak my voltage settings!
All I see is:
-FSB setttings
-Intel or Cyrix CPU
-Single or Dual CPUs
Any idea on which adapter brand to get?

Doesn't the re-flash trick still work with Abit??

I flashed this mobo 3 times and got an e-mail from abit tech stating that this new version 2 of BE6ii does not support voltages above 1.75!
I just bought an Abit Slocket slot one adapter from eBay so that I will be able to bump up the voltages using manual jumpers.
Thanks anyway.

I just got the slocket adapter from abit and it rocks!
I set the jumpers to 1.85 volt. and it's stable at 850mhz!
I ran Pro Tools, Soundforge 5.0, and Acid Pro 2.0 all at the same time and it still did not crash my sys!
Thanks everyone
Watson
