I just my SK8V and Opteron 144 setup, my probelm is that the bios is reporting my cpu tempurature at 127C which doesn't make sense as I am watercooling, anyone one have this problem before? Anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks,

Chris

BTW it allowed me to install XP no problem

try to flash the bios if the probleme persist get the lastest bios update and install it if ã already have it try other older version of bios i had the same probleme in asus mobo reporting the cpu temp too high but with update this has been solved try
to check the temp under windows with motherbord monitor

Figured out the problem, the metal bracket on the back of the board was touching a small resistor, once I replaced the bracket my temps went back to normal.

28C Idle
28C MB Temp

With Water Cooling:p
