Talk about ancient steppings...

I just discovered my friend has an AGOIA 9 1800+ I remember that some AGOIA's were better than others, so the obvious question is how far will that chip go? It originally had cooling problems, but I've since remedied them and I pumped it up to 1600MHz just for the hell of it.

I had an AGOIA 9 1600+ that would do 1837 at stock voltage...

On a similar note, does anybody remember the range to expect for an AGOIA Y 1600+? My sister's comp it turns out has one of these bad boys in it.... I've been itching to steal it for some tests :D

Locked Palomino AGOIA's? Once upon a time they were good but now their value is mostly measured by how much you could get for them on eBay so that you can add some $ to get a cheap T-Bred B that outperform them by like 1000+ PR rating points.

Obviously.... but that's not the question...

If I remember correctly, the 9's were good for 1700-1800 MHz and the Y's 1800-2000 MHz if you got real lucky... does this seem about right?

I owned one and couldnt push the bad boy past possibly 1.6 gigs before it would crap out. These are not the king of old school OC'ing but for the price I guess you cant beat it for a SETI rig.
