Sorry for another question, yes im a noob

I decided to get Corsair cos a lot people say its a good brand and the price isnt THAT high, im going for:
-PC3200 - 512 MB - DDR - Corsair LL PRO 141 euro
OR
- PC3200 - 512 MBx2 - DDR - Corsair TWINX C2 214 euro

dont know wihch to pick yet, what will give better performance??

well my question is, is 2.9 volt enough to get the max out of these ram sticks? since the ic7's highest vdimm is 2.9 V

i want my 2.8 to get to 3.2 at least with 5:4 divider, think thats possible with this ram?

thx, jeffrey, btw i wont act like a kiddy again when i dont get the answer i was looking for, sorry for doing that sometimes in the past

You are going to need to reach a 228 fsb to run that processor at 3.2. That memory should do it no problem with that voltage. You are not going to need to run the memory at 5:4, I would leave it at 1:1. You would only be running the memory at 456mhz, which is what mine was at before I got the mushkin. I used to have my 3.2 sitting at 3.6 with 225 fsb and my old samsung pc3200 at 450mhz 1:1. Its was only set to 2.7 v.

whats the stepping on your cpu? personally i'd put it on 5:4 divider and max that cpu out depending on what cooling you have, i just dropped a 2.8 SL6Z5 in mine and have it running 3217 mhz but its watercooled and the temp is 23c idle and about 27 c at load (sandar benchmark tests)..its gonna take alot more i reckon too:D ...so whats ya temps atm?

Darky- Just remember that the IC7 series(beside the max3) only have the max vdimm of 2.8v. That will also undervolt a little to something like 2.75vdimm or close. Those were from my previous IC7-G max II that I have.

Oh, and if you can find Corsair XMS PC3500 V1.1(BH-5) would probably be nice with your new system(that's what I have in mine). "But" make sure they are v1.1 and not v1.2 or v2.1, rev 1.1 suppose to be winbond bh-5. Good luck and have fun with what ever you choose.
