I just installed the Corsair HydroCool 200. Love it. Now I would like to add a gpu cooler to my ATI AIW 9800 Pro and a chipset cooler on the Biostar NCG Pro. This is my HTPC and I want to eliminate as much nois as possible. 3 questions. 1 Will the HydroCool handel the additional load of cooling the video card and the chipset, if so what blocks would be recomended ?
2. When O/C the NCG Pro and not using the on board video, do I even need to worry about additional cooling for the northbridge chipset ? ( I am using the onboard soundstorm APU)
3. I've looked at the Innovatek Cool-Matic ATI rev1.1 Water Blocks on highspeedpc's site, is this overkill, or worth the extra bucks ?
Thanks,

It looks like it has a pretty nice looking nb cooler on it. Is it loud? watercooling the nb is not worth it. Doesn't affect performance of the board and reduces performance of the cooling system. I use a swiftech system and lost about 3 degrees C in the processor temp when I removed the nb wc.

As for the hydrocool system, the swiftech mcw50 fits and works very well. I helped put one in my friend's system and it works great. The hydrocool can handle it. Just cut the tubing on the exit side of the processor wb and splice in the mcw50. It's too easy!

You need the following parts to make it work:

mcw50 http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sidewindercomputers/swifmcgpucoo1.html

1/2 to 3/8 inch fittings (2) http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sidewindercomputers/1stto3tuodqu.html

3/8 inch tubing inserts (2) http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sidewindercomputers/tuinfor3od.html

Gary (sidewinder computers) shows out of stock for the mcw50, but send him an email. He'll give you a good answer as to when he can get them again. I've done business with him for a while and will always recommend him. He's the best for customer service!!
