View Full Version : am I going to damage my mobo?
So i just upped my OC to 11x200 for 3200+ speeds, and my voltage to 1.75. My temps are 40C idle and 53C load, though this if from a highly unreliable MSI temp sensor. It's freezing cold here, and ambient temps are only 18C (64F!), so when it gets warmer I think I'm gonna back of the OC a bit. My question is:
my mobo is 333mhz FSB max. Do i risk damaging it by running it this high?
As long as you keep your temps under control and don't use too much voltage you should be fine. Try removing your case side and try those settings, see how much cooler it is. If its a more than 3-4C it most likely means you need better case ventilation, add some more fans or ducts. The TT is a good HSF but is made more for being quiet than extrme OCing, you may need to find a happy medium between the 2 with that combination.

here's a diagram of my cooling:

Looks good but every case has different airflows, try it with the side off will tell you.
