I have my computer at the college dorms right now. I'm goin home this weekend but I'm not taking my computer with me. But I want to be able to access this computer from the one at home... either by remote desktop or just like FTP or anything. But of course the problem is the school is behind a huge firewall and all incoming requests are rejected, except i guess when we initiate the request.. like half-life works, starcraft works, AIM, connecting to other people's ftp, etc.... Yea, so we can't setup our own FTP and we can't open ports for remote desktop either..

Do I have any options here? :(

make the school computer a VPN client on your lan, then use samba / ftp /ssh/ remote desktop or whatever to access it

that might work-- i dont have much experience with networking
