how is the GlobalWin FOP38 compaired to the Alpha Pal6035?.....Besides the noise factor???

I had the Delta fan on the Alpha and I couldn't stand it. I think this is the same as the fan you are about to buy. If I am wrong I know someone will jump in.

I now have a Sunon fan on the Alpha and I am planning to do a mod for more air flow and less noise. I hate noise but I can't imagine anyone liking the damn noise of the Delta.

I want one of those "hair driers" for my Alpha....

If the fan ever cuts out, I'll know just by the sound, and that second or so before the mb's BIOS monitoring alarm kicks in might be the difference between a dead fan, or a dead fan AND cpu....provided I can hit the kill switch in time, of course.

Well, I have the Alpha with the Delta38. It's annoying, at best...I can deal with it. I have a full tower case with a couple 4" fans that give a lower fan noise..that kinda drowns out the Delta, but you can still tell it's there.

I don't know what to compare it to.....hmmm.....trying to think of something close. It's like the voice of your wife when she asks you to take out the trash for the 3rd time. bearable....yet you don't really wanna hear it again.

I have a fan thats the same size as the delta but dunno how much cfm it pushes... about as much as the cheap ballbearing fan bluetacked to the front of my case..hahaha.

Those Delta fans do sort of sound like my exwife's annoying whine LOL! I have a 60mm Sunon 26-27 CFM fan that I switch with the Delta (38 CFM) when I'm not extreme overclocking. Much more bearable and less noisy. I read a cooling article on the homepage here that shows an easy mod for mounting a 80mm fan onto the FOP heatsink. They still move a lot of air but don't have to spin as fast, so therefore bigger fans are usually quieter. Also, check out Tom's Hardware for a look at the new Silverado cooler. Very quiet and very expensive. Next weekend, I'll put my new Alpha PAL6035 on and report back on temps and noise difference compared to the FOP38.
