I believe it exists for Pentium 4 Xeons, and I think I have seen quad Slot II (PIII Xeon) boards.

You might want to find out what you need for a PSU first, that thing probably is not standard ATX.

Edit: The same board can be found HERE (http://www.centrix-intl.com/list.asp?CategoryID=7) for $99.

Edit again:

Looks to me like it takes 2 ATX PSU's:

I think both P2 & P3 Xeon's use Slot 2, correct me if I'm wrong though.

Regardless anyway, Ram for that board won't come cheap.

I thought that apart from having to say slot 2 has to say PII and not 3. JDXNC , I am not contradicting you , itīs just what I thought

I was into this way back in the day...a big thing for these rigs are VRMs, try to get all of them together if you can, and for that board pictured (can't remember its name) the memory riser too. That particular board uses some EDO stuff or something- I know nothing about SIMMs. Also, that board can only take the low-end 100 MHz FSB P3 Xeons, and P2 Xeons are just about the same thing anyway, so they work too.

If I remeber correctly the only difference between the P2 & P3 Xeon's is the P3's have a few extra instructions(SSE) and on die cache.

Yep, but then w/ the 133 FSB P3 Xeons they cut out quad functionality.

I think serverworks made a chipset that could support 4 to 6 Xeons @ 133mhz. I think its called "Serverset III HE". Good luck finding it though.

One thing I might suggest is looking at Pentium Pro's they are very similar to PII Xeons if you get the same cache size though you can only go up to 200Mhz. You might get lucky on ebay and find a cheap 4 cpu system. I think compaq made a number of quad Pentium Pro servers.

Though I don't see the point of getting a quad PII Xeon or even PIII because you can get a dual amd system and it would be just as good or even better. Unless its just to say I have a quad system.

the stuff is that seems pretty cool to have a quad or a sixer. maybe a 2.8c would be cheaper , but has no fun at all :-P
