Im running a cel 566@850@1.6 volts stable. At 893 it was pretty stable for a few hours. Ive had it up to 901 (106 fsb) @ 1.75 volts, but crashed in windows. it seems that anything over 106 fsb gets me BSOD, what do I do next? It wont even post, the LED on the monitor starts blinking like its in suspend mode. How do i figure out what is the limiting factor....i dont think the cpu is getting too hot, because it does fine at 105. Ive even tried putting in a PCI video card, and set fsb to 133 with a 1/4 divider, so none of my PCI cards are OC'd: same, BSOD. My system: Abit BE6-II, Cel 566, 192 Mb PC 133; Gainward Cardexpert GF2MX 32Mb. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Sounds like cooling could be your problem. You could try upping the voltage a little more. Could also be that your chip has just reached its limit.

I think it needs a touch more voltage. Any way you can push it up to the 1.8 to 1.9v range?

It definitely sounds like a voltage/cooling issue. Hopefully you have some very good cooling on this chip. If so, I would say adjust voltage to 1.85V and give it a go at your current max speed. If it runs, leave it there for a while until you are sure it's stable or it BSOD's. If it runs stably, increase speed or decrease voltage at the same speed until you get BSOD's again, then adjust beck to the last stable combination. Trial and error is the only way to be sure, as ALL chips behave a little differently. Make sure you have good cooling! I know I am repeating myself, but you really don't want a keychain fob. The retail HSF is inadequate for OC'ing. Contrary to some believers here, I think the Golden Orb is barely adequate as it comes from the box. Get a good Alpha, Taisol, or globalwin cooler and mount it securely with some Arctic Silver compound.

Good luck.

And up the Vio to 3.6Volts, my BE6-II needed that to get stable, and with stable I mean, running seti and sandra burnin, working on the system for hours and hours, and creating/restoring images with a dos boot-floppy <-locks up nicely when you think your system is stable! haha! 1.85Vc and 3.6Vio was what my system needed...

Why does everone say its coolong?? he just said his vlotages are pretty low, and the comp wont even boot.It is extremely unlikely that it is cooling when the damned thing wont even start up.Its either ram or voltage.
