dead cpu??

can any one tell me the symptoms of a dead cpu, would the machine still post?, reason i ask is i just got a 2.4 d1 and machine refuses to post, runs fine with me 2.8 c1:cry: :confused:

I would say that if everything works with the 2.8, but not the 2.4, then the 2.4 must be dead.

i didnt it bought form ebay and was dead on arrival

Believe me ma it can happen to ANYONE!

I bought a mobile DVD player and it was messed up... The dude off of ebay was like I never used it.... I opened it up and there was a cd stuck in it :rolleyes:

I reset the rollers in the dvd player and it works now... Then two weeks later a friend of mine gets one BRAND NEW for HALF PRICE!! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
