Today i tryed to remove the original heatsink of a PII 350 and i couldn't !
I removed the original fan but i can't remove the heatsink, without hurting the micro ofcourse.

How can i remove it ?

I want to put a bigger heatsink !

Don't do it, messed up my PII chip messing with that! I had a PII 300 @ 375 (unlocked) 150fsb and 2.5mult. Orginal heatsink, fried the chip when i took it off. Try it just keep it clean.

Well Jethro, I reckon' y'all gunna hafta blast it off...=)

Look in the Tips column on the front page, under CPU tips. There's a couple that discuss removing heatsinks from the P// and P/// SECC chips.

Skip posted one for the P///'s, that worked like a charm for me....I'm awaiting the mailman for my P3125, so I can see what my P/// 600E can really do.

Dunno PII, but if it's similar to a PIII case, here's a link for that.
