I can't make it stable under 3DMark2000, UnrealTournament.
It's completly stable under Windows ME, but when i run a game or application which puts CPU under hard work, it freezes completly or sometimes comes back to windows desktop......
I have a Celeron 633 (OEM Version) @ 950 1.95v (2.00v) with a Titan Majestic V MAB1 cooler (Asus Slot1 Converter with voltage changer connected to the cpu), a Asus P2B (Bios 1013 Beta 007,HW rev 1.02) Board (BX Chipset), a Hercules Geforce MX (core 205 / mem 220) and 196MB of 133Mhz (2-2-2).
I think the problem isn't in the CPU Temperature, because it isn't hot at all.
Please if you can help me please reply.
Thanks for your cooporation!! :))
Two suggestions. I assume that you have two or three sticks of memory in the machine. Try using just one to check stability. Also try using 3-3-3 for the memory setting to see if the machine is more stable at CAS3.

Thanks for the suggestions, i will try it out.
I have 2 sticks of memory in my machine (one 64Mg other of 128Mg) both are 133Mhz.:)

You could also set your vid card back to defaults. What you're experiencing sounds more like the GeF MX is pushed a little too much.

I tried already my Geforce MX at its defaults (175/183) but the system does the same, it crashes back to windows or frezees.

I would try changing your AGP jumper to 2/3.
My C566 would run 850mhz and even 952Mhz @ 1.55v no prob, could run Seti and all stability tests no problem.
The chip wasnt hot, and windows worked flawless (well, it IS windows <g>)
Anyway, whenever I tried to run 3dmark, or Unreal the screen would FREEZE or kick me back to windows.
Changing the jumper onb my MB from "default" to "2/3" made her work with a hitch...
I was using a V770 Tnt2Ultra btw...
3dmark2000 score was 3818. Not bad for a Cel952. on a tnt2 <g>
The 2/3 wont slow down your performance any is what I'm trying to say.
I'm going out on a limb and say you need better cooling. Look at the voltage you're using. Plus, that cooler is not exactly top of the line. Post some load CPU temps. Those Celerons can get unstable in the mid-40 degrees.

I am inclined to believe that it is both voltage and thermal related. Make sure that your cooler is properly seated. If the HSF is cool, it may be because the heatsink isn't making good contact with the chip. If the bottom of the heatsink has ANY surface imperfections, lap it. Make sure that it is very smooth and that you have a thin layer of Arctic Silver. Too much and you lose effectiveness, too little and you fry the chip. 1.95 volts is an awful lot for aircooled Celerons. You may be suffering from ringback or crosstalk inside the chip. Does it run at a lower voltage at this speed? It might be worth backing the voltage down a little to see if stability improves. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, but if i change the voltage even to 1.9v Windows Me sometimes doesn't starts...So the limit of voltage that i can have is 1.95v-2.00v.
My board is an Asus P2B, it's an old mobo, and i can't change AGP multiplier but i think its default is 2/3 but i'm not sure.
Is there any Software that would help me change it?
If i in the bios put AGP Texture Memory lower to 64Mg, the system runs perfectly even in 3DMark or Unreal Tournament but it runs extremely slow.
If i put it to 64Mg or more (128Mg or 256Mg) the system freezes or kicks back me to Windows. So i think my problem is in the AGP Texture Memory, can anyone help me?
What color is Artic Silver?
I have a rose layer between the heatsink and the chip and i don't know what name it has.
Whats the best Cooler for me and where can i find it?
Arctic Silver is a dirty looking gray color.
The best CPU cooler depends on a lot of things and there may not be one answer. In the medium price range, Alphas and GlobalWins are still king. Personally, I've been eyeing the Swifttechs lately, the MC-370 model might be my next cooler to torture, but they're not cheap. Other higher dollar coolers have been introduced lately like the Silverado, etc. Prices are bound to drop down to reasonable prices fairly soon on these newer ones. But, for right now, since you have a slotket, I'd recommend an Alpha PEP66, great cooler for about $30-$40 delivered. Very hard to beat for that price.
If you don't have much cash, at least remove the sink and clean that crappy pink heat tape off, then use a good quality thermal paste. I've had good luck with Radio Shack's silicone thermal paste, but I now use Arctic Silver which gives about 1-2 degrees drop in load temps from what I was using. Not a lot for the amount of money spent, but since I can afford it, I'll take anyway advantage I can get...hehehe!

I think that chip should do 1gig @ 2v maybe 2.1v. Try getting a better heatsink. Windows ME is definetly also a problem. WINDOWS ME BLOWS!!! Install 2k/98se and you should be better off. Also make sure the heatsink is seated properly. What are your temps? I get temps of 28C idle & 38C FULL LOAD on my Celeron II 700 @ 1015 2.2v no games. On my P3 450 @ 576 2.05v i get IDLE-29C and full load- 38C (standard heatsink, dual antec fans) CHECK EVERYTHING GET RID OF WINDOWS ME. GOOD LUCK

Not only is 1.95v / 2.00v high for air cooled systems, it is also very high for a system with a Titan HSF!!!! This is a gimmick more than a cpu cooler.
Try running the chip hard for a good while at a stable speed in hope of burning the gates better to make them more able to operate at higher frequencies.
Do not increase the voltage any further at all, regardless of others that may have used extreme voltage and acheived "higher" speeds.
If you were to watercool with a peltier these kinds of voltage would be accessible.
