Games Make Connection Die...

When I try playing games on my new system, specifically Halo Demo, BattleField 1942, and Road To Rome, my connection dies. My downloads say connection to server lost, I loose connection to aim and yahoo messenger, cant open any webpage, but my connection icon is still in the corner. Has anyone ever heard of this, or know whats causing it?

Yes I have seen that. Usually its with a proxing software or softrouter and is related to settings for active simultanious connections, or nattable size/connections per host.

But anyways the first thing I would do is go to:

http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php

and download the TCP optimizer and set it to the optimal settings, reboot and see f it clears up this for you.

Ok cool I'll try that. Also I'm on dialup not cable/dsl. Does that make a difference in this problem?

Tried this program, didnt seem to help any. Anyone else got any ideas?
