Can we get a list going...I want to buy hardware to build a pc knowing I will overclock them. I want to spend only around $400.

Needed best stuff for overclocking:

CPU/MOBO
Graphic Cards

The RAM for that MOBO

Tell me what you think. Thanks!

best CPU in my opinion is the Athlon 1700 DLT3C. So cheap, yet so much potential.

The Radeon 8500 is a great card also. Get some good cooling, and you have a nice OC.

Mobo: A7N8X-Deluxe rev 2.0 (you wont need a sound card, this sound card built in kicks ass)

RAM: Kingston PC2700 (400+MHz with 2.9v) *get better ram if you can afford it

CPU: 2500+ (unless you can find a thorton for sure and mod it to get the extra cache)

HDD: WD1200JD (SATA) ~$100

Video Card: 5900 non-ultra (reflash bios, b/c 5950 ultra bios will add more voltage to core)

the 1700+ is a good card but they are impossible to find and the ones out now are expensive as crap....also the barton is about a hundred bucks compared to the 2100+ being only $62 from newegg, kingston 2700 falls short of the samsung i suggested, go ATI not nvidia, nvidia cards aren't as good as ati and the 9600xt is as good as a fx5600 stock and can be oc'd to be as fast as a 9700pro and 9800nonpro, idk about the mobo you suggested but i thought that the nf7-s was the best out, espically with the soundstorm onboard audio

I agree I bought a 1700 DLT3C off of a member for 45 bucks.

Great price!

Overclocked to 2.4GHZ using the Silent Boost HSF.

Very quite fan

Its just my suggestion based on experience. I have physically used and installed 4 of those boards, and never had one problem with them. The nf7-s might be better, but i have never used it, so i didnt recomend it.
