Heh, I was going for 1 ghz...but I think I'm pretty damn close. Yeah, pretty close. I think I'm just going to give it a miss, yep. 994 mhz ain't bad.

So now I need to "burn-in" this thing. What do I do? Do I just leave some benchmark like Sandra 2001 on for a bit? I bet I could torture my CPU with Prime95 awhile...that would be fun...

Anyways, here's a pic. Celeron 566@994 1.9v ALPHA PAL6035 + delta fan

Well done!

As far as burning in goes Prime95 is a long time favorite and I don't think Sandra's benchmark is too bad set for a loop. BurnInTest, SETI and Folding@Home are good ones to stress that thing to no end as well.

Did you get it to POST at a gig? What volts are you running it at? What sort of cooling have you got?

I got my cC0 566 to load the Win98 Boot floppy Menu at 1003MHz, at 1.8v with a lapped Globalwin FKP32.

I haven't had time to up the volts and aim for a stable Gig in Win 98. If I get 952, I'll be a happy bunny, but a Gig is something to brag about. Almost a 100% OC.

Good for you, though. 994 is not something to weep about (unless they're tears of joy) Keep plugging away at it...

ONE ORE MHz OF FSB, ONE MORE !!!!

Burn it for a bit, and try 118. I was "stuck" at 112 FSB (1009 MHz) with my Celeron for a while. I changed mb, and put a better hsf on (lapped, w/ Arctic Silver), and got quite a bit more out of the chip.

Hope you can get one more.....

Congrats on a great o/c.

I got my 566 the week they first had them on pricewatch. I started off doing great.
Abit BE6-II, 1.7v. I run SETI@ home 24/7. Unless I'm playing MW4 or something.
