Today I shutdown my brother's computer(PIII700@about 780 on a Abit BE6-II) and after Windows shut it self down, I decided to turn it back on a few hours later. ONLY it did not start back up. It NEVER woke back up! I've made sure wires were not loose, and the CPU was OK(by testing it in another mobo), I even tried another Power Supply, and the Be6-II shouldn't be fried, because I bought it new a few months ago. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Any beeps, lights or fan action ? Try holding down the "insert" key when you power up, it will set bios back to default and hopefully it will boot.

The Power light is on, and the fans are on but there is no activity beyond that. The monitor answers back with blankness.

Oh yeah, I even tried reseting the BIOS manually...(that didn't work!!)

I had the same problem my old P2 board. But mine was a gradual thing. It got to a point where I had to cut the wires at the power button and make my own connection to get it to turn on. Taping the wires together to turn it on and holding em together for five secounds to shut it off. Then one day...sniff sniff...my P2 didn't wake up.

Try "resetting" or "clearing" your BIOS to original settings (using the jumper to re-set the bios) . ....stereo55

Sounds like the mobo. If a new psu didn't work, the cpu is okay in another box and resetting the bios didn't help.
Two more things. Pull the mobo and power it up out of the case on the table. No drives, no cards except video card. Remove and re-seat ram. If still no go try another vid card - preferably old 4mb and PCI if you got access to one. Also try some other ram if you can.
If all that fails I'm afraid the prognosis is not good and you probably have a dead mobo. Is it still under warranty? Get it exchanged.
