i always see on here ppl talking about when and where their processors were made.. where do i look to see and how do i read the code...
also is there a site that lists good places/times for a good oc processor

The code is on the CPU itself as well as on the box (in case you have a boxed CPU), read the second post in the Intel CPU Stickies (condensed) (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=187691) thread.

Not that I know of, however some stores let you choose a CPU or sell pre-tested CPU's, have a look in the CPU Database (http://www.cpudatabase.com/CPUdb/) to see which CPU's have potential to OC well.
