Well all, I just got mobilized for the Army. I got a call Sat pm and I have to leave by 4 Feb for at least 12 months. My two AMD folders will be shut down (4.3Ghz) when I leave. I'll still have 2x1.8 P4's at work going I hope 24/7 and my wife's P4 1.7. Man this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dually is now out until I get back. This is NOT going to be a fun 12-18 months. Oh well! I knew it was coming, but not this soon or this fast. My WIFE IS not taking this well.
My last Fold for a cure! Hooah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a little USB pen drive to take with you with the One Click on it and borg what ever you can while you are gone!
That sucks about not being able to get the dually up and running before you leave.
Good luck and stay safe, we need your folding power when you come back!

Good luck, and yea, borg whatever you find on the way. I would make a borg floppy, as just about everyone has a floppy drive(except me).

I wish you luck and a safe deployment. Bummer about the dually but at least you will have a couple rigs crunching. By all means borg on your way. A pen drive would be your best bet. A copy of one-click on it and borg away. You can also put some family photos on the drive to carry with you wherever you may be. The photos could help justify the cost with the wife:D
Good Luck Papso

Good luck to you and your wife, long distance relationships are always tough.
You fold and thats great, "If a man does his best, what else is there?", yeah go do some combat borging!

Thanks all!
No pen devices or borging where I am going. We wont' have pc access in Uzbekistan. Very primitive living. Oh well.....I'll keep my amds' on until i leave 4 feb, then rely on the 3 p4's ill leave on.
Hooah!
/me salutes Papsomax and Portorock
Y'all are awesome. Thank you for serving our country.
You will be in my prayers.
Good luck Papsomax, and we will all look forward to your return sometime down the road...
My cousin just got back from K2 in Uzbekistan and said that it wasn't anywhere as bad as she expected, with most of the comforts of home for those at the major bases there...Hot chow, hot showers and relative comfort...It ain't the Hilton, but it is alot better than we had in SEAsia...
Again, good luck. :D>

Perhaps some of your superior officers will have laptops you can borg. It wont be good for their battery life, but its for the cause.

That is always a possibility since I will be getting admin rights. Nah, those comps suck as is, they are Dells and they crash all the time, w/o stress

:( Well all during our mob station build-up and hospital credidation, I shredded my left knee in trying to do to much. Since I was attached to this hospital I wanted to show all of their officers up (I am a LTC), and I did but during a land-nav course, a covered badger hole ate my knee. MRI says 3 tears.Bad news is is I now have to go to a medical review board and they will determine if they want me in any more. I have 21 years in and they may decide I am no longer the HOOAH kind of solider and medically retire me. SUCKS big time. I can get knee fixed but this is the third time on same knee and my orthopod says there is not much he can do until I get old enough for a total knee. Our location acutally changed to Afgan which is going to heet up in May. Even us in a combat spt hospital have to wear full battle-rattle, flak jackets and carry weapons 24/7. Sucks to be me. You train all these years and give the Army Reserves HOOAH 110% and this happen and they now want to kick you out. Hmmmm, where's the logic in that? Oh well, back to folding. Hooah!

If there is any 'good' way to go out, giving 110% is the way to do it. Lead by example.

Hmm, I just hate woodchuck/groundhog/badger and the rodents that dig big holes in the ground. The farmers know it and so do those that ride horses. Horses can get multi-fracture leg breaks really bad and have to be put down sometimes. Some people tend to live trap or just go hunt the little beasties when in season. Anyways, I really hope your knee doesnt give you too much trouble and heals ok. Who knows, maybe its all for the best but in the mean time it just plain sucks. Best wishes and support for our armed forces/troops.

Ya I didn't see it. We were doing night land-nav with NVG's and bam, left leg went into hole and twisted. MRI shows 3 tears (I was wearing full battle-rattle, NBC, NVG, weapon, etc ~ 50 lbs). Sucks to be me. My unit left yesterday to their MOB site and then will be on ground in Afgan April. Me, I'm stuck here.
Thanks for all of your support.
