Well DSL has finally arrived to my neck of the woods. Anyway to make this short, I would like to split the DSL line between my 4 computers over a wireless network, so I've come up with the following brand/model for NICs and a Router:

Routers:
Linksys - WRT54G - 54Mbps 802.11g Wireless Broadband Router (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=628108&sku=L48-2230)
Netgear - WGT624 - 108Mbps 802.11g Wireless Firewall Router (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=635314&sku=N100-1498)

NICs:
Linksys - WMP54G - 54Mbps 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=628082&sku=L48-2200)
Netgear - WG311 - 54Mbps 802.11g/b Wireless PCI Adapter (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=587833&sku=N100-1486%20P)

Which setup would be better for online gaming NetGear Router/Netgear NIC, NetGear Router/Linksys NIC,Linksys Router/Netgear NIC, Linsys Router/Linksys NIC? Or if you think some other setup would perform better dont hesitate to say so :)

And basically would there be a noticeable dif. in performance between Wireless and Wired networking, when it comes to online gaming that is?

Ok, think that about covers it :D

The netgear router is going to use something proprietary to get the 108 mbps. Either nic card will work, but try somewhere else before you go buying thru tigerdirect. price shop :)

Both will work great. You shouldn't notice for online gaming because your internet connection won't exceed the wireless. On a LAN only game you would notice it slightly.
